The 2025 Superbike World Championship continued with Round 5 at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic, delivering a weekend full of intense battles, dramatic incidents, and tight championship implications. In front of passionate Czech fans, the top contenders – Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Ducati) and Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW) – traded blows across all three races. Danilo Petrucci (Barni Ducati) also impressed with consistent podium finishes, as the title race gained even more momentum ahead of the next round at Misano.
Race 1
Toprak Razgatlioglu claimed a dominant win in Saturday’s Race 1. After early pressure from Bulega, the BMW rider pulled away to win by six seconds. Bulega had taken the lead at the start but was passed on Lap 4. Petrucci held third comfortably, with the Lowes brothers, Sam and Alex, following in fourth and sixth. Álvaro Bautista made a strong recovery from a Lap 1 incident to finish fifth.
Andrea Locatelli and Michael van der Mark crashed out at the start, while Remy Gardner had to serve a ride-through penalty and later retired.
Superpole Race
Razgatlioglu made it two out of two with another strong performance in Sunday morning’s sprint. He fought closely with Bulega in the early laps, before pulling to win. Bulega crossed the line second, with Petrucci once again on the podium in third. The top six also included Sam Lowes, Iker Lecuona, and Alex Lowes. Bulega was investigated for cutting the track but kept his position.
Race 2
Nicolo Bulega bounced back in Race 2 to beat Razgatlioglu in a photo finish. The two title contenders swapped positions multiple times before Bulega made the winning move on the final lap. Petrucci secured his third podium of the weekend in third. Sam Lowes just missed out in fourth, while Gardner beat Bassani for fifth.
Bulega leaves Most still leading the championship, but Razgatlioglu has closed the gap thanks to two wins and a second place. The next round will take place at Misano from June 13–15.
